Rockin’ Geeks

15 09 2008

At Stan’s conference, they generally bring in some entertainment for the last night. This year, the band was The Black Crowes. (I don’t know who they are, really, or what they sing.) Anyway, my brother lives in Vegas, so Stan borrowed a name badge from a friend who left after the first day (who also happens to be a woman, but luckily her last name is also a man’s first name) and they went to the concert.

I can’t believe they printed your name badge backwards, Dennis.

Here they are, rocking it every which way. Take a close look at the band. Now look at their fans:

Computer geek-types. Not the Crowes’s normal fan base, perhaps?

Here’s a cool shot of the spots through the fog. I think they (Stan and my brother) had a good time. Afterwards, they took some stealthy shots of people chilling at the oxygen bar.

Check him out–just like at the hospital! I don’t get this. Is it so smoggy in LV, NV that you need the pure stuff? I wonder how much it costs. Seriously, my brain has a hard time wrapping around the entire concept.
Lastly, I just wanted to throw this shot of Stan in–it’s a self-portrait. No kidding. When I was looking through his photos earlier, I thought for sure “Dennis” took this. That mirror is clean.

Love it! I agree about the oxygen bars…so weird. Also, tell Stan I like his self portrait. Looks like something you’d see in a photography book of self portraits.

I love this whole post. There are to many fun things to comment on…the crazy clean mirror (I thought the photo was very artistic), the computer geek crowd, the oxygen bar, and Dennis. I loved it all.
