Call for Submissions

I kind of started getting into “found art” after my class last spring. I had this idea for a piece made out of those bread-closing things–not twist-ties, though. The other things.

These.

Even though I’ve been saving them since April, I still don’t have enough. Keep me in mind when you’re throwing out your moldy bread, okay? I’m pretty sure you can send a bunch in a regular envelope.

Thanks.

Ooooh, that will be hard. I love ripping those in half, stick one half on the end of my middle finger, and then flicking. They fly amazingly far and in a relatively good, straight line. Quite the aerodynamic little buggers. I’ll try to refrain my my childish behavior, though, if you can guarantee it’s for the greater good.

Ooooooh I can’t wait to see what you do with those. You are so cool. Last night I dreamed that you and I were in law school together. And my MTC roommates were our roommates. Weird. I’m glad you are pursuing art.

I’m very interested in what you plan on doing with them but just so you know, in the bulk section at Fred Meyer, they have cups full of those. Sometimes you can find them in produce too. My kids take them by the handful every time were there. I never see them do it either. Makes me wonder what else they are sneaking…
